Jamie Benn had three goals and an assist to win the NHL scoring, and the Stars beat the Predators 4-1 on Saturday night.

Benn had 13 points in the final five games to edge Islanders star John Tavares by one point for the Art Ross Trophy as the NHL scoring leader. Benn finished the season with 35 goals and 52 assists.

The Flyers had little trouble with the injury-depleted Penguins, winning 4-1 on Wednesday night in Pittsburgh.

"I wish we had more games here," Flyers coach Craig Berube said. "We get excited and we play well against the Penguins. It's one of those teams that bring out the best in us and we feel pretty comfortable in this building, that's for sure."

Sidney Crosby scored his 300th career goal for the Penguins and boosted his NHL-leading point total to 80.

Alex Ovechkin smiled while standing for a commemorative photo in the locker room, holding the puck he put in the net for his NHL-leading 50th goal.

"A good picture," the player known as Alex the Great proclaimed.

Ovechkin netted No. 50 in a season for the sixth time, tying a team record in the process with his 472nd career goal, and added an assist Tuesday night to help the Capitals push toward a playoff berth by beating the Hurricanes 4-2.
